Download CutoutXR

Free to try: every 2D feature and 20-second 3D previews, with cut-outs of up to 20 seconds and a small watermark. A licence key removes the limits.

Install it

1. Open the downloaded CutoutXR-0.9.3.dmg and drag CutoutXR into Applications.
2. Open CutoutXR from Applications. The first time, your Mac asks if you're sure you want to open an app downloaded from the internet: choose Open. Its icon appears in the menu bar at the top right of your screen, and CutoutXR opens in your browser.
3. To watch on your Quest, choose Connect Quest… from the menu-bar icon. Open the address it shows in the Quest Browser, then enter the passcode. The first time, the Quest Browser warns that the connection isn't verified: that's expected, because it's your own Mac. Choose Advanced, then Proceed.

Have a licence key? Choose Licence… from the menu-bar icon, paste the key and press Unlock. No account is needed, and the key is checked on your Mac.

What you need

• A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer), running macOS 14 Sonoma or later
• About 2 GB of free space, plus room for your videos
• A Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S or Pro, on the same Wi-Fi as your Mac
