The short version

Your videos never leave your Mac. The CutoutXR app does its work on your Mac and plays it on your headset over your own Wi-Fi; we never receive your videos or cut-outs. This website only collects what you type into the waitlist form, so we can tell you when CutoutXR launches.

What the waitlist stores

• Your email address
• Which computer you said you'd use it on (Mac, Windows PC or both)
• Your country, as worked out by our host from your connection (we don't store your IP address)
• The date you joined, and which form on the page you used

How we use it

To email you when CutoutXR is available, with the launch price, and to see how many people want a Windows version. We don't sell or share your email, and we don't use it for advertising.

Where it's kept

On Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the technical details of your visit (such as your IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Downloading and using the app

The app is downloaded from download.cutoutxr.com, which Cloudflare serves for us; we don't track who downloads it. The app itself sends us nothing: it has no analytics and no account, and a licence key is checked on your Mac, not online.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers. If you join the waitlist, your browser remembers that you did (in its own storage, on your device) so the form doesn't ask again.

Your choices

To be removed from the waitlist, or to see what we hold about you, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. Every email we send will also let you unsubscribe.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above. When the app goes on sale we'll add how purchases are handled by our reseller.
